It was delightful and I have earned many useful skills and discovered that I had many talents in store. I was the play writer of The Adventures of Tom sawyer and I had never thought one day my play would be selected to be performed in one of the biggest events of the year. I have learned that hard work leads to glory and success sometimes in the long run. I worked very hard on the play. I took it as seriously as I could. I feared that somebody would snatch the meat of glory right out of my mouth, so I tried my best and I succeeded.

建议

I really wish that we would have a foreign music show.

The 18th Foreign Language Festival has come to an end and so many exciting activities, Reading and Sharing, Spelling Bee and Drama Show, are still flashing in my mind. Among all of them, my favorite one is undoubtedly the Foreign Language Carnival.

On that day, each class presented a classical novel and shared with us their gains by performing on the stage, which was very meaningful.

I have also gained a lot in it. It enables me to have a deeper understanding of the classics. I have experienced a sense of achievement and happiness of success through creating scripts and choreographing short plays. Most importantly, I feel the warmth and unity of a collective work. I believe that Class 8 will continue to have excellent performance in the coming activities.

Soon after this foreign language festival, I have begun to look forward to the next one. I hope that next time more students will have the opportunity to perform on the stage. I also hope to resume the Spanish language singing competition.

Now I can’t help myself feeling nostalgic. Although the Foreign Languages Festival is over, our foreign language learning has never ceased and will never cease. We will continue to improve ourselves, feel the charm of languages and make them the bridges leading us to the world!

I have to say, after this Foreign Languages Festival, I really learned a lot and had a lot of fun. From my point of view, I think the part I like the most is the part that every class sends some students to do a presentation about the book we read during the winter vacation. All the classes were there. from that part, I saw a lot of interesting books, such as the Treasure Island, Robinson Crusoe, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, etc. Oh, and not to forget lots of great performances about the content of those classical books. I have to admit, all of those performances are very interesting, and widened my eyesight.

This time, during the Foreign Languages Festival, I was into most of the important positions: the main character of the drama The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the leading dancer of my class’s performance of the carnival, a member of the book sharing activity. Even though I’m totally exhausted after all of these, it really was fun and I learned a lot. First of all, I learned how to better cooperate with my classmates. In our dance on the carnival, we had to dance together, and that really was a task for our team spirit. Luckily, after lots of practices, we finally got the dance right and won second prize for it. Secondly, I learnt a lot about other classical books all around the world. This time, the book that was assigned to our class was called the Hatchet. After listening to other classes’ reports, I learned a lot about those classical literature and produced the desire to read more original English classical literature.

At last, I think we could add another activity to the Foreign Language Festival—Foreign Language Singing Contest! I believe by doing this, we can motivate the students’ enthusiasm for Foreign Languages!

That is all I want to say.

Personally speaking, my favorite event during the Foreign Languages Festival had to be my moment in the spotlight--- the spelling bee. The series of spectacular events was a perfect opportunity to take display what we’ve learned and assess our own language learning skills. For me, hosting the parade was also a precious experience worth remembering. I hold great expectation for the next festival, and I sincerely hope to see more promising language learners.

Hello, I’m An Jinhui from Class 10 Grade 8.

Over the past week, our school held the 18th Foreign Languages Festival, with the topic of ‘Classics Without Borders, Languages Build Bridges’. This year’s event, I believe, concentrated more on the classics, the moments when language and action come to life.

As for me, there is no doubt that the drama show is superior to others when I first think of this festival’s most attractive and memorable event. These diligent actors performed to us a vivid scene at full steam, which brings us into an immersive environment where every detail and expression can alter the current situation in various stories.

Being the host of the Drama show, I’ve comprehended it a lot. I saw actors and teachers bustling around, just for a better performance for audience. I was deeply touched in real earnest, since we all have been striving for a higher standard in life. By seeing these young actors trying to do their best, I’ve gathered up my confidence not only in hosting, but also in future studying.

For the next Foreign Language Festival, I’m looking forward to seeing more performances in which students can show their talents and abilities, in order to keep a balance between our academic subjects and school activities.
